Privacy Policy

This site is a free library. This page explains its hosting, analytics, and email practices in plain English.

The short version

No accounts. No tracking cookies. No third-party advertising. No mailing lists. I do not sell, rent, or share your information for marketing. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page visits and loading performance. It does not run on the AI Use Intake. That tool processes your answers in your browser without sending or storing them. There is no contact form; everything else is resources to read or print.

What the site collects

Hosting and security. This site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare may process ordinary technical data — IP address, approximate location from that IP, browser or device type, the URL requested, referrer, and the time. Cloudflare uses that to operate and secure the network. It also keeps ordinary hosting logs of those requests. Those logs are for running the site, not for tracking you as a visitor, and I do not keep a separate visitor database. See Cloudflare’s own privacy materials for how they handle that data.

Web Analytics. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate page visits and loading performance. Its script sends measurements to Cloudflare. Reports include page addresses, referring sites, country, browser, and device type. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or browser storage to measure visits. I exclude the AI Use Intake page from Web Analytics. See Cloudflare’s Web Analytics documentation for details.

Fonts. The pages use fonts already on your device. The site does not request font files from Google, Adobe, or anyone else.

Cookies and browser storage. These pages set no cookies and do not write to your browser’s storage. Resource-page checkboxes and everything you enter in the AI Use Intake stay in the current page; close the tab and they are gone. Cloudflare, as the host, may use cookies or similar tools under its own policies. I do not use any of that to build advertising profiles.

Search engines. I sometimes notify search engines of published page addresses. That is a list of public URLs. It does not identify visitors.

If you email me

The contact page is a direct email link to Tom@TomCedoz.com. There is no form. If you write to me, your message and email address arrive in that personal inbox and are used only to read and respond. I won’t add you to any list. Please do not send confidential information. Sending an email does not create an attorney-client relationship.

How long it is kept

Email is kept as long as needed to respond, keep an ordinary professional record, or resolve a dispute, then deleted or archived in the ordinary course. Cloudflare manages hosting-log and Web Analytics retention under its own practices.

Who it is shared with

Only as needed to run the site and respond to you:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, delivery, security, hosting logs, and Web Analytics.
  • If the law requires it — a court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

What the site does not do

  • It does not sell, rent, or share your information for marketing.
  • It runs no advertising and builds no advertising or behavioral profiles.
  • It has no newsletter, no account system, no login, and no contact form.
  • It does not run Web Analytics on the AI Use Intake page or send your answers to a server.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out — to LinkedIn, GitHub, the MUEFS demo at demo.tomcedoz.com, sources cited in the resources, and the Apple App Store listing for MI Litigator. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

opinions.tomcedoz.com is a separate hostname on Cloudflare. It is not this site, and this policy does not cover it.

The MI Litigator page may show an App Store banner on some Apple devices; that request goes to Apple. The app is a separate product. This policy covers the website.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS through Cloudflare. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Children

This site is directed at adults — lawyers, in-house counsel, HR, and employers. It is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has emailed me, write to Tom@TomCedoz.com and I will make a reasonable effort to delete the message, subject to ordinary backup and legal retention limits.

Your choices

Do not email me if you prefer not to send a message. You can block cookies and third-party requests, including the Cloudflare Web Analytics script, in your browser. If you want a message you previously sent deleted, email Tom@TomCedoz.com and I will make a reasonable effort to remove it from the inbox, subject to ordinary backup and legal retention limits.

Depending on where you live — for example, in the EU, the UK, or California — you may have rights regarding personal data. To ask what, if anything, is held about you, use the same address.

A note on scope

This policy covers tomcedoz.com only. It does not cover opinions.tomcedoz.com, demo.tomcedoz.com, or the MI Litigator iOS app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with an updated date, and material changes will be noted plainly. On September 18, 2026, I added the Web Analytics disclosure and explained the AI Use Intake exception.
